Birding in paradise

I spend today in Bird Haven... I was at the Keoladeo Bird Sanctuary in Bharatpur (near Fatehpur Sikri) and here's a few photos from there..

The Demoiselles of Keechan

This morning I went to a tiny village called Keechan (around 4 hours from Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India) to see one of the most amazing wildlife spectacles of India. Everyday during winter as many as 10,000 Demoiselle Cranes (Anthropoides virgo) decent to this village to feed (for decades now the villagers have been putting out tones of grains for these winged visitors).
